![]() ![]() Still nothing, nothing impressing or new, This game made a big fuss before its release. I said maybe it's just the beginning, the game will improve in the next chapter. And after it is released I waited about a month to buy it until I checked the success well, then I bought it. This game made a big fuss before its release. I bought it because of the old max paynes and this one definitely does nothing to live up to those standards. Definitely not a game that's worth 60 bucks. I have no interest in doing the time attack, new york minute, or multiplayer modes. And instead of using bullet time just about anytime you want you stick to taking cover over half the time. Max will sometimes run at regular pace even while aiming which throws me off completely. The controls were also off and very annoying for me at times. The storyline didnt even come close to matching the first or the second game. And instead of using bullet time just about I bought this game on steam and completed the storyline in less than 13 hours of gameplay. The lag can make it tricky to use them, but I expect the game will become more stable.I bought this game on steam and completed the storyline in less than 13 hours of gameplay. There are two and they'll kill someone across the map in one or two shots, plus they fire rapidly. The sniper rifles will probably dominate most of the game once enough people unlock them, and get good at using them. I'm one of the only players I see using a shotgun, probably because you're easily killed with a basic pistol at greater range than the shotgun is capable of being dangerous at (I reckon the shotguns are only good to about 10/15yds, otherwise you'll be doing no damage, or the other player will out-damage and kill you). Some of the weapons are rather underpowered, especially the shotguns. I think it lends itself more to free aim than RDR did, at least if you're not looking for something that takes hours of practise (there's a reason these games have some form of target lock). MP3 has been popular with all of us, so if you did enjoy RDR and/or GTA, this would be a good choice. I didn't play GTA much, but RDR PvP combat was generally based around one shot to the head, MP3 is more about hammering each other with rapid-fire weapons. My clan were RDR players and have now moved to MP3. Going to be a very generic shooter when the developer and publisher aren't bothering to buy add space. The most advertising they have done is buying "coming soon" space on steam. ![]() Max Payne is a game no one in the industry is even remotely buzzing about. L.A.Noire was a very pretty choose your own adventure. Both are boring as hell in the long run and involve taking cabs to missions and micromanaging "girlfriends" to appeal to the typical 13 yea old. I don't know a single older gamer who loved Vice City or III that finished RDR or GTA IV. Rockstar has isolated and ignored it's base audience. Max 3 is a game no one was asking for or really wanted. By that time, the genre had pretty much had it's fill of "bullet time". Max 2 was decent, but it was more of the same and strayed a bit from the first. There had been nothing like if before and it introduced "bullet time" and a level of maneuverability we hadn't seen in shooters up to that point. It was a genre defining game for it's time. You have to be joking or too young to judge Max Payne 1. Seems like you can always pick a Rockstar game out of the bunch. The game should be a step up in quality from the last 2. One of the writers "Dan Houser" is also the main writer for the GTA series along with RDR. Max Payne 2.Īctually this is the 1st time Rockstar has had a tie to Max Payne. The Max Payne series is fun but I haven't enjoyed a Rockstar game since. ![]()
